Building Confidence from a Chair
The first lesson is FREE to download. This layout was designed for a student confined to a wheelchair learning to add confidence around horses/ponies. The layout is designed for the student confined to the chair to have a helper to prepare the equine for each lesson until confidence is achieved and they feel comfortable being able to achieve all aspects of the plan without help. It is also designed as an interactive schedule with the instructor and weekly check ins. Subscriptions to our virtual classes can be purchased separately to get the full effect of this schedule (email us to purchase). Lessons are numbered 1-12, however each step should be exercised until it can be accomplished without fear or hesitation from the handler and the pony is responding to the cue without difficulty.
