“Pals Sweet Annie” affectionately known as “Annie” was brought to the Bar D when she was just 6 months old. Her older brothers “Big Red” and “Pals” and little sister “Hawk” also reside at the Bar D. Although Annie is not in the lesson program very often due to her other abilities, she does work as a relief horse for some of the other lesson horses, or to teach an advanced skill to riders. Annie is predominately a roman riding horse! She is also an outstanding flag horse, recently she has been learning to be a breakaway roping horse and dabbling in the speed events. She has traveled all over the state of Texas as a flag and roman riding horse, along side her brother “Big Red”. She is a very gentle natured mare that is extremely affectionate and calm. She absolutely loves treats and being groomed.

“Lucky’s Cookin” or lovingly known as The Black, was donated to the Bar D Program by Maass Performance Horses in 2017. He has done it all in the program. He is one of the Advanced horses. He excels as a barrel horse, playday horse, practice breakaway horse and all around companion. He has also been a trick riding horse, roman riding horse, and rides bridleless. Black has quite the personality, he loves water and playing in the water hose, he is also very picky about his treats.

“Tari Dew Abdul” aka “Darlin” is the sweetest little ball of fire! She loves to go Fast! She excels in the pole bending, but is also extremely versatile and competitive in all playday events, enjoys dabbling in jumping and bareback rides as well as breakaway roping and goat tying! Although she is 18 years old, her personality and willingness to GO does not show it!
